Level 2 Performing and Production Arts

Tuesday 21st November 2023  On Tuesday we did some improv games which is where we are given a line or a scene and have to come up with the rest of it and to do vocal warm ups with our voices so we are able to use voices when we do our lines. Then what we did after that is we did play rehearsals which is where we did the play the girl without hands we added some more stuff on to what we did last time and then we did some more Beatles Rehearsals for our show tomorrow Wednesday 22nd November 2023 which will take place at the Globe at 7 PM but have to be at globe for 6.30 PM and then after that we went home.  What we learned for this day is learnt some more of the lines for "the Girl without hands" and trying a narrator for the show which I learnt how to do it.   Wednesday 22nd November 2023 So this day is show day so what we did today was we started of with finishing (blocking) the play which we managed to finish/block the play which was very good then we went over it a...

This week what we did for performing arts is we started to rehearse the girl without hands and tried to remember ever line we needed to say. Then what we did is we started to rehearse the Beatles song with the level 3's. Then we rehearsed more on the girls without hands which we need to remember the lines for the show in December.  We also started our Bertolt Brecht poster we included information about Bertolt Brecht and the important parts that he does in the theatre and what else he does and the shows he has written and performed and his famous quotes and some of his written work. We also added his birth and when he died i put loads of information in and added some pictures to the poster.  We rehearsed you've really got a hold on me with the level 3's for our show on the 22nd of November 2023 which will be the show at the globe in front of three thousand people we are the second to last people to perform.  Also what we did on Tuesday is we did some games which is where ...

 what we did this week is we did some casting for the girl without hands which went very well and i have leanred some new stuff then we did some staging of the girlwithout hands but only some of it we did irt a coup,e of times so we got used to it and donty need to use the script then i learned about the roles. 

 on this day we read the girls without and did character breakdowns then we did some preparing for the auditions then we had our auditions then did a verbal assesment. 

 so this day is the showcase day so before the show we rehearsed so we had a reminder of what to do so when we got to the showcase and we knew what to do then we went to the showcase and performed to the level 3's and some other people then afterwards we reflected on the performance which we did for that day. 

 starting of the day we were finding our own monologues, analysing our own script which was ok then why i picked this monologue then we did some more rehearsing for the show tomorrow (friday) then that was it for the day but it was a really good day and am exited for the show for the next day. 

 on this day we did when i grow up vocals so we sang the song then we analysed scripts after that we did some delivering lines, diction and articulation with tongue twisters which went very well and the other thing we did wad practising the talk backs with tom. which when we did tounge twistors we all came up with some tounge twisters and we did some vocal warm ups with that and did some more vocal warm ups/ doing singing. 

 What we did on week 4 is we finished Matilda off, we added a song to the movement. then we worked on our individual pieces then we did some character profiles for our set pieces which we have been working on and after that we worked on singing techniques with tom. we learned that the globe globe theatre is a proscenium stage and you can add what is known as wings. this means you can make the stage seem smaller or bigger.
